The intention for this promotional poster was to avoid the cliches used to represent Brazil... no images of Rio de Janeiro, soccer, Carmen Miranda, bananas or supermodels. Instead, Grande Othelo and the Carnaval's energy deconstructing the freeways and suggesting a compositional Brazilian flag.
The event was held at CAL-State University, Los Angeles, and the work selected to participate in the 'Le Brasil en Affiche' poster festival in Chaumont-France. |
